Upon acceptance to the school, you will receive a records release formThis form will need to be signed by the parent and returned to Calvary Schools of Holland.  Calvary will contact the school your child last attended to request that the academic records are fowarded.  Calvary must be in receipt of your child's academic records before the enrollment process is considered complete.

Does Calvary offer a Pre-School Program?

Calvary offers a four-year old program that serves children who are in their late threes (children who will turn four years old by Nov. 15) through early fives.  Since maturity happens by God's design, this program will allow for comfortable development for children who may be too young to enter full-day kindergarten.  The four-year old program is held 2-days per week.  Parents will have the option of choosing a morning or afternoon class dependent upon enrollment.  Classes will serve 10 children each, but could go up to 15 with the addition of an assistant.  This decision will occur as enrollment requests are made.

Does Calvary offer the option of partial enrollment?

Calvary seeks to assists the Christian home school community in their endeavor to biblically educate their children.  We offer a variety of academic and non-academic courses to home school students.  Partial enrollment applies to students who are enrolled in up to four academic classes.

Does Calvary offer an after school program?

Occasionally, parents may require supervision of their child when a parents' schedule prevents them from being available immediately after school.  By extending the school day into an Eighth Hour, students and their families will be offered the continuity and safety of a Christian environment.  Eighth Hour begins at 3:05 and concludes at 4:00 and is available at a cost of $2.00 per day.

Am I able to send my child to school before 8:05 AM?

School begins at 8:05 AM.  Students are encouraged not to arrive before 7:45 AM.  However, if it is necessary for a student to arrive prior to 7:45 AM, they are to wait in the halls.  Teachers will supervise the students until the 8:00 AM bell.  At that time, students are able to proceed to their classroom.

How is tuition handled?

The tuition schedule is published prior to each school year.  The school budget is supported through tuition payments and standard fees.  The registration fee is due at the time of enrollment.  The school offers three tuition payment options.  The first option is to pay annually.  A 5% discount is applied if full payment is received by August 15.  The second option is to pay bi-annually, half due on August 15 and half due on January 15.  A 2% discount is applied.  The final option is to make ten equal monthly installments.

How is Christian education implemented into the curriculum?

It is our goal to build Christian character and to train student leaders.  Calvary is deliberate in its approach at incorporating the Bible, worship, and godly characteristics into each subject that is taught.  Prayer is a fundamental part of each learning day.

What extracurricular activities are offered?

Calvary is pleased to offer several athletic options including basketball, soccer, baseball, and volleyball for high school students as well as limited athletic options for students in junior high and elementary.  Students in 3rd through 7th grade are encouraged to try out for the Singing Crusaders, a select singing group.

How can I get involved?

Calvary strongly encourages involvement.  There are three distinct ways to get involved.  The first is to volunteer through the PTO or the Athletic Boosters Club.  The next is to volunteer to meet a variety of short-term needs.  And finally, families can help financially support the school by donating towards special projects and the general needs of the budget.
