How To Give To Calvary Schools of Holland

Calvary is a 501(c) 3 Organization.

All donations are tax deductible if you itemize.

Cash and Designated Gifts

Calvary willingly receives gifts in cash, check, or automatic withdrawal at any time. All gifts which are not designated to a particular fund, campaign, or special project are used for regular operating expenses. Gifts designated to an established fund, campaign, or special project are used as the donor has designated.

Matching Gifts

Your employer may be one of the more than 1,000 companies that have matching gift programs. Matching gifts can often double your personal contribution. This year Calvary hopes to increase the number of matching gifts received. To find out if your company has a matching gift program, contact the human resources or personnel department. When you make your gift to Calvary, complete the form your employer will provide and enclose it with your gift. We do the rest.

Pledges

Many donors find it easier to pledge a gift in several installments throughout the life of the campaign (final pledge amounts for a given fiscal year are due by July 31). This provides a way to give a larger gift than you might otherwise be able to give with a single cash gift. To give monthly, quarterly or on some other schedule, please indicate your wish or call Becky Bartlett at 616-396-4494.

Gifts of Stock

You may find it more convenient and financially advantageous to make a gift of appreciated securities, which will eliminate capital gains taxes to you. For additional information, please contact your broker, tax accountant, financial advisor, or our Financial Office 616-396-4494.

Gifts from Estate Plans

Calvary would be grateful if you would also consider a gift to the school through a bequest in your will or trust.  Please contact your financial advisor regarding how estate planning benefits can be maximized for your continued enjoyment today as well as continuing blessings for this ministry in years to come.

Here are some ways you can help Calvary out with dollars you are already spending!

1. Get yourself a VISA card from Box Tops for Education and designate Calvary Schools of Holland as your school of choice.  Box Tops pays Calvary 1% of every purchase charged on their VISA card.  Apply at www.boxtops4education.com.  New applicants to the Box Tops for Education VISA Card can enjoy a 0% APR for up to 15 months on any balance transfers until September 1, 2007.

2. VISA card from Target with Calvary Schools of Holland designated as your school of choice pays Calvary 1% of every Target purchase and .5% of every other purchase charged on their VISA card.

3. Lifeline Long Distance Company allows you to designate Calvary Schools of Holland as your non-profit organization of choice and then Lifeline pays Calvary 10% of your long distance calls.  Calling cards are also available.  You can make Lifeline your long distance carrier by calling 1-888-841-5959.

4. Collect Box Tops for Education.  Turn in to school office.  Each box top is worth 10¢ to Calvary Schools of Holland.
